SO.... while faith in Florens is not on the rise, it seems that maybe the Temple's teachings aren't the only thing he's screwed up; it sounds like he's made a real mess of things in the past. The team has to suspect that there might be an underlying tone of seriousness to his Yves' friendly complaints about Florens' poor decision making skills. Whether it's out of concern or resentment however, is difficult to discern.
With the trip winding down, rather than pushing with drinks or sociability, the NPCs will be spoken to individually and handled when things quiet down for the night. Yusuke will be relegated to Florens' guard duty and on the lookout for any funny business, while JJ distracts him to maintain a more positive atmosphere despite their mounting worries and the other conversations going on around them. Business as usual!!
But Yves in particular will be approached by a wary Boxer; as the trip goes on, they've grown genuinely concerned about his quest in Wyver and express that they think this is a bad idea before asking our third question: should they be worried about his undertaking here? They'll be frank in saying that the repercussions in the past seem steep, including his retirement from the Guard and Emeraude's mother, whose death does not seem so coincidental. As fairly recent refugees, they're all still working to make connections and build reputation, and perhaps it's a bit candid, but they don't want that jeopardized due to defending Florens' ambitions.
At the same time, Red will pose a similar question to Emeraude. Unlike Boxer however, she presents her concern as less about the reputation of herself and her companions, and more about her Emeraude's wellbeing, and her ability to pursue what she believes is right and in line with the Temple's teachings.
We realize that this question's already been touched on from other angles, so if we're being silly and it's super useless, let us know and we'll try a different tack!
