In Yves' opinion, they should be more worried about Florens' actions getting them attacked by "Wyver savages" than damaging their reputations, considering they're so new. (It is worth noting that, despite being at least a decade younger than Florens, Yves still treats everybody like they're twelve years old.) That aside, Yves has nothing to say about Florens' retirement; according to him, that's the only ordinary, non-shameful thing the man has done in a while. He will not elaborate on anything else he knows about the situation with Emeraude's mother, but he heavily implies that Florens should be a lot more ashamed than he is for "what he did." Considering Yves claimed not long ago to have no interest in that situation, that doesn't seem to be the case now...

Emeraude will insist that she is just fine; Florens doesn't frighten her or anything like that, although she does believe that he's going to get himself hurt or worse one of these days. She would rather he just quit the Temples rather than bastardize their teachings and way of life more than he has, and hopes that this trip will be "a wake-up call, in one way or another." If asked directly what she believes is right, she will say that regardless of her opinions of Florens and his poor manners, this is what her mother would have wanted.

Florens, true to form, notices absolutely none of this and is still having a good time.
