Hi mods! What is Olympia's definition of "adult", is it 18? So in that case, characters who are 16 and 17 would have to be in the game for one or two years before they'd be allowed into the baths, for instance?

What kind of prospective job description are available at the Evras' Research Center other than research work? Would Reign be able to use the labs for possible research? Sorta like lab rental?

I'm specifically curious about the stables. What with Atsushi not feeling so great about working at the Institute anymore, I was wondering if he could reasonably switch to the stables - just taking care of the animals: feeding them, cleaning them, looking after them if they don't seem well. He has no real ambition to ride anything, but if training animals to be ridden would become a part of his job eventually - say a few months in - he'd give it his best shot.

One more obligatory "I overthink everything" question: if Atsushi can work at the stables, would he be allowed to bring his cub to work? >>

I have a question about characters working at the Temples. Would they too have to be a more neutral party? Could they align themselves closely with a faction, which in my case would be Olympia?

Hi mods! I apologize in that I am new and thus maybe these questions have been answered somewhere before and maybe they haven't, but I'm interested in specific information about the food available here, especially what might be available in the markets of Olympia. Would you say it is all alien to our refugees, all familiar, 50/50? If a man is looking for say, coffee and a press, might he be able to find them?

Also please correct me if I'm wrong but I am assuming that the closest thing to a bar would be the saloon front of the brothel in the Red Light district? Might one go there for a drink with no strings attached/expectation to go "behind the curtains" as it were, as one might go to a bar, or is that generally frowned upon since it is essentially the forefront of a brothel? Tl;dr, how does a man get a drink in this place?

OWNER: Olympia If you're looking for a simple communal bath, this probably isn't for you, but it is available for public use. This is the oldest, yet the most up-kept luxury spa available in Olympia. They have everything from outdoor hot springs to personal massage rooms. Basically, whatever extravagant ideas you have for relaxation, they have and more! Their main draw, however, is definitely their natural springs which come with various special effects. From quick healing to that extra spice for any romantic evening— they got you covered! Olympia loves grandeur and opulence, and they're ready to show you the Olympian way! There are multiple other facilities available for at a costly daily rate. These baths are unisex.

THE SILK WYRM — Tailor Shop

THE SILK WYRMS LOCATION: Noble District HOURS: 9am - 5pm. OWNER: Calsco Looking for something to wow people at the next party? Perhaps you're looking for that one rare pattern that's been trending on the streets of Olympia. Whichever it happens to be, you've come to just the right place. There are fashionable oddities found on display all throughout the shop— jackets adorned in the scales and feathers of mystical beasts, dresses all glittered up with the shine and sheen of rare jewels and stones, and basically everything else in between. Above all of these glamorous mannequins, come fabrics in every color and texture imaginable. Or, so the store owner is very keen on projecting. You're sure to find what you’re looking for. If not, they can always make it. They have a corner just for custom orders, and the tailors here are the absolute best at their trade. Actually, there's even a rumor circulating that the royal family also places their orders here. As for whether that’s true or false? Sorry, that's confidential.

THE SUPERMARKET & FLEA MARKET — The Marketplace

THE MARKET DISTRICT LOCATION: Market District HOURS: 6am - 9pm. OWNER: Various The hustle and bustle of the rest of the city is nothing compared to the Market District. There's a portion that's open air, and another that's indoor. It's massive and has food stalls as well as a wealth of various food stuff and ingredients. Maybe you overheard your coworker mention a certain rare sea creature that changes colors when you fry it; ripening into a crispy (rainbow) delight that you can find nowhere else, or maybe you heard of that mystical fruit that sings when you slice it? Your next venture for food is likely to be an exciting one with all the variety present here! Look, they even have samples! The street-food culture here is also out-of-this-world! At night, while all the regular shops close, the district becomes a "pre-game" area for those who intend to enter the Red Light District. After all, it's much cheaper to drink here than over there.

THE WYVERNEST — Dragon Cafe

THE WYVERNEST LOCATION: Entertainment District HOURS: 8am - 3pm. OWNER: Bellaran The new thing trending in Olympia is, as you can probably guess, theme cafes! While there has recently been an abundance of them, the most popular of them is the Wyvernest. Inside, the whole venue is designed as an elaborate labyrinth. The seating areas are separated into different types of land or water, and each one houses a certain type of dragon. Every table will be beside giant displays that occasionally sprouts to life every 10-15 minutes. As for real dragons? My, aren’t you a danger-loving customer. Akin to a tiny petting zoo, there is a small area to play and become accustomed to them. Granted, they’re tiny and harmless. Though, of course, that’s an additional charge for that (thank you for the patronage!). There is also a gift store, and a little photo booth that snaps a momento of your trip here. It even comes with a cute frame. How precious!

THE STABLES — Olympian Mounts

THE STABLES LOCATION: Noble District HOURS: 8am - 6pm. OWNER: Olympia Isn’t it every child’s fantasy to ride on a unicorn or a three-headed lizard? ... No? Well, if it is or was, look no further! They are no longer fantasies, but your newest reality here at the stables. They house the largest variety of creatures in Olympia— all groomed, trained, and ready to ride. But, that isn’t to state that some aren’t more difficult to handle than others. Naturally, they have varying temperaments, and maybe some you can’t feasibly mount within your first few visits. But, as they say, if are first you don’t succeed— try, try again! They offer riding lessons, as well as services to rent out their creatures. Additionally, for those of you who do not have enough space in your homes to house that creature that popped out of your egg and grew 13 feet tall, well ... Here’s an option for you.

THE SANCTUARY — Lysa's Clinic

THE SANCTUARY LOCATION: Noble District HOURS: 7am - 4pm OWNER: Lysa A large clinic owned by renowned physician and potion-maker, Lysa. Though the clinic is privately-run, it also happens to be the biggest and most well-equipped medical facility in Olympia, and many citizens of Olympia - rich and poor - see it as their go-to place for medical attention. The clinic has a workforce of about 40 people all in different lines of work - physicians, potion-makers, caretakers, housekeepers, kitchen workers and general volunteers - of whom Lysa collectively refer to as her 'Daughters' (even if some of them may be men). The clinic is open at all times, and takes in patients from all different sorts of backgrounds. For the rich and established of Olympia, Lysa charges them a considerable fee for her services. For refugees or the needy of Olympia, she is often softer, and may only require a favour in return. The facility houses about 50 beds for patients needing to stay overnight, two treatment rooms for 'surgeries', a research room for potion-making, a prayer room, a kitchen and a cafeteria. A recurrent theme around the clinic is 'Devotion to Thesa', and many statues of a Darma-like figure can be seen on display around the clinic. Lysa and her Daughters start their morning by praying to Thesa for the health of well-being of their patients.

THE DOJOS — Martial Arts Practice

THE DOJOS LOCATION: All Districts HOURS: 24/7 OWNER: Olympia Whatever martial arts or fighting style you can think of, they probably have it, or some version of it here. There is open grounds for training, as well as individual rooms for meditation and personal reflection. They even have an area to shower and wash off! (They didn’t originally think they needed it, but after several hundred thousand complaints, well. You get the point. It’s there and done, thank god.) This is where one can train their mind, body, and soul. They are open to teaching others what they know, and with the same breath, always curious to see what others have to bring to them. So, show ‘em what you got, Refugees!

THE GYMS — Modern Exercises

THE GYMS LOCATION: All Districts HOURS: 24/7 OWNER: Olympia This is where you get fit. It has state of the art equipment, all ready to train various muscles and limbs. But, seeing as how it’s likely different from what you’re accustomed to, you won’t see many treadmills or stationary bikes. Instead, there are almost spacecraft looking machines and apparatuses, all complex and intricately built. Where do you even put your legs or arms? Well, that’s part of the struggl— er, I mean, work out! They have various specialists for different types of exercise, and even have several pools, saunas, and a place just for making health smoothies? Looks a bit risky, though? What even are those. Once again, all in a day’s tortur-work. Yeah, work.

THE SHARPER — Olympia's Weapons Shop

THE SHARPER LOCATION: Market District HOURS: 9am - 3pm OWNER: Olympia Olympia may be a relatively safe place to live in, but the woods outside the city are dangerous and ridden with man-eating beasts. Don't go out there bare-handed, if you value your life! Luckily, Riley's Blacksmiths and Armory has got you covered on that front. The shop carries weapons of all different sorts - from the most basic swords and shields, to the most intricately engraved daggers, to historic pieces of weaponry that the shopkeeper claims to have come from great battles of the past. The most expensive pieces on display are said to be enchanted, but that's only what the Mr. Riley will tell you; you'll have to buy it and see for yourself if that "magical" longsword can truly cut through diamond (It can't). For the right price, the blacksmiths are also willing to forge custom blades and armor. Just ask!

SHADES DARKER — Renowned Brothel

SHADES DARKER LOCATION: Entertainment District/Redlight HOURS: 10pm - 6am OWNER: Koralle Decorated lavishly from the inside out, there is a certain elegance that’s displayed by this Brothel. Naturally, it boasts itself as the best at providing the right sort of entertainment. There is a saloon at the forefront of this place, whether people gather to talk about a variety of topics. But, of course, as aforementioned, it’s all a forefront. Beyond the beautiful marble columns and the gorgeous painting that are strewn across the walls harbors... a certain breed of danger. Sensual danger. It has everything one would expect from a brothel. They have decadent rooms for rent, and company to fill the loneliest of nights. Or, perhaps, simply the most enticing of nights. The choice is entirely yours! They promise a night you’ll enjoy, and so far, they’ve never disappointed.

TEMPLES OF THESA — Places of Worship

TEMPLES OF THESA LOCATION: All Districts HOURS: 24/7 OWNER: Olympia A place of respect and reverence, of praise and miracle. The temples are there to honor the wondrous Thesa in all its magnanimous glory. Naturally, you know what it’s actually all about, but don’t try to tell them that. The halls are filled with believers, all bent on their knees in prayer and in their own brand of worship. Remember how they introduced aphrodisiacs on this land in order to foster more living creatures? Well, let’s say the idea sticks, and it’s not uncommon to walk into something that’s a bit hot and heavy. Regardless, there’s a lot of mild, as well, like followers in quiet meditation. Even small stalls selling amulets and trinkets, all imbued with the power of Thesa. Strangely enough, this is also a key place to hear news and information. As for its relevance? Well, not everything you hear will be useful. But, if you’re new, there might be a lot of Olympian culture to learn here. At least, a snippet of it.

SOLACE SPRINGS — Sacred Pools

SOLACE SPRINGS LOCATION: Entertainment District HOURS: 12am - 8am OWNER: Koralle Thick steam escapes in plumes as you open the door to Solace Springs. Inside, the humidity is palpable; your clothing will stick to your skin, so it's best to remove it quickly. There is no separation between genders, or species, here, only wide open baths for all to enjoy. Shallow water links them all, ankle deep at the least. Sit on a rocky ledge or float freely, you are welcome to enjoy the pleasures at your own pace. These springs provide more than a warm soak. The water flows from a deep underground reservoir, teeming with latent magic that spills forth when the liquid turns to steam. A powerful aphrodisiac, there is no shame in being intoxicated by its effects. People share their bodies openly here, and will only watch for a little while if you do the same...

SIMWE INSTITUTE — Evras' Research Center

SIMWE INSTITUTE LOCATION: Noble District HOURS: 8am - 4am OWNER: Evras One of the most impressive sights in the Nobles District is the Simwe Institute, Evras’ state-of-the-art research laboratories. His endeavors are funded by both the crown and wealthy private citizens, and by the size and academic scope of the Institute, it shows. There are over a dozen specialties being pursued at any given time: potion-making, alchemy, biology, astronomy, and engineering, to name a few. The facilities are constantly expanding, so there are always open workspaces and resources. Though Evras is a busy man, he can often be found in one lab or another, and is always listen to an interesting idea pitch. Besides the corridors of research facilities, there is also a large library that houses both fiction and non-fiction, a series of lecture rooms, and an indoor plant nursery.

PALACE COURTYARDS — The Royal Guard

THE ROYAL GUARD LOCATION: Simwe Palace Courtyards HOURS: 6 am - 9 pm OWNER: Ashti The pride and joy of the Olympian people, aside from their culture and architecture, is their formidable army. The Royal Guard, which consists both of soldiers trained on the battlefield and those who serve more domestic needs (guard duty during a fancy dinner, anyone?), can often be found sparring and training in the Simwe Palace Courtyards. There is a great amount of open green space for anyone who needs it. Ashti herself does patrols around the area and helps those who need it, but she generally allows her soldiers a great deal of independence and freedom.

THE DIPLOMATIC COUNCIL — The Coalition of Refugees

THE DIPLOMATIC COUNCIL LOCATION: Southern Outpost HOURS: Various OWNER: Coalition of Refugees Decorated in the colors of Wyver and Olympia, this Great Hall has been transformed into a place of communication and gradual understanding between two great cities. With everyone's hearts and desires coming together, this venue is designed to be a road to peace, an establishment for discussion and diplomacy. Created from a proposal by a refugee, these halls have now become a symbol for a joint effort between the cities to improve the quality of all citizens regardless of their history or former feuds. This structure shall remain as long as the desire for peace remains, and the resolve of the Coalition of Refugees remain strong.
